My name is Eduardo Ambrosio. I was born in Guatemala, an origin privileged with the production of one of the most delicious coffees in the world. I come from a new generation of coffee professionals specialized in identifying and selecting flavor profiles. Cupping is the methodology that allows me to identify the value –added, assurance and quality control of every product I offer.

 

I started in 1991 working for the program of the Unites States International Development, USAID, “Small Producers Quality Coffee Improvement”. Later, I worked for many years for the National Coffee Association in Guatemala, ANACAFE (by its Spanish meaning), coordinating the department of Quality Control and tasting thousands of coffees from producers around Guatemala.

 

Cupping is also an activity I love and I am convinced that quality differentiation is the strategy to achieve a sustainable market.

I have witness the dramatic changes in the trading coffee structure, since the export volume to the emergence of the "third wave", key players that proved the effectiveness of this strategy.

 

The idea of funding Eduardo Ambrosio ​​Coffee Advisors was born precisely from that conviction. The objective of this company is to provide advice and training to producers, buyers, baristas and coffee drinkers on the differentiation and selection of coffees according to their characteristics.
